Pressed Glass Identification Mark France VAD
« on: March 24, 2009, 10:25:14 AM »
Please could someone help me to identify a piece of pressed glass that I have recently purchased.  It has an impressed mark on the bottom.  Which consists of three letters in upper case. V A forms a square shape with a D on top and centre of the VA.  Then FRANCE is impressed under this square mark.  This is a lovely bowl and I would love to know who made it.   Thankyou.

hello Sheila

if your pics. are resolved at the normal size, then you will never be able to post them.    The board are careful to remind us that 125 kb is the largest acceptable size.
However, all is not lost.             Simlply down load the 'www.irfanview.com' programme from the internet (its completely gratis)  -  and you can then image re-size your pics. to whatever you want.       Then we can see your bowl.
cheers              Pau.

sheila - are you now o.k., or not.
You must have the 'red splattered cat' icon on the screen before you can proceed.

Sorry for making this a "Irfanview identification mark" topic but I never knew it was a cat.
Always just thought of it as a red blurb  ;D
