4 piece handpainted vanity/dresser/trinket set
« on: April 02, 2009, 09:19:17 PM »
This was sold as being French c.1920s.  Handpainted decoration.  The blue appears to be on the inside, the outside being clear glass.  Presumably enamelled?
The lids and pots have gilt hand painted tie numbers which don't match, although they fit perfectly.
Does it ring any bells please?  I haven't seen one like this before and haven't a clue.
TIA  ;)

Anne, I was just thinking that the numbers might be decorators numbers rather than tie numbers.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

I'm sure you are right :).  I was thinking about decanters doh! but the set is pressed glass.
