There was a question asked about pontils or flat bases on Skrdlovice by Andy. It has not been answered and I am also interested.

Thanks, Craig

I went carefully through Skrdlovice patterns - sorry about it - not found.

Seems to be almost definite that this piece is not Skrdlovice one.

(The pontil mark issue I will check on Monday in Skrdlovice.)

Pontil mark issue:

It is confirmed that generaly all Skrdlovice pieces had always flat bottom.

Great piece,
probably more recent modification of Skrdlovice 6533 - in books documented in sizes 45 and 39 cm, various colours but originaly brown core, dark blue overlay and crystal shots see picture

Hi:

I apologize in advance for redirecting (perhaps the pc word for hijacking) this thread, but I wonder if the piece in the attached photos is a variation of Johnphilip's piece. It's amber and the added shots are clear. Some age on it, about 3 1/2 inches high.

Hi David,
this is also Svobodová - 1964, Skrdlovice pattern 6419, briliant piece. Where it is offered?
In case I will not get it I would like to ask you for permission to use your picture in my database.
