solid glass tangerine??
« on: April 10, 2009, 11:44:13 AM »
It's must be a day for small things.      Apologies if this item seems somewhat flippant compared to much of the other content, just thought it seemed an amusing curio.
Bright orange showing a small yellowish stalk  -  no pontil mark, just a slight depression but without any further smoothing.     Solid, about 4cms. high and about 6.5cms wide.      I know nothing about glass fruit, and picked it up simply because again it showed a fair amount of base wear, and if I think something has age, I get very neurotic and think it must be interesting.         Not something to spend a lot of time on perhaps, but if anyone has an idea, I wud love to know.    cheers       Paul S.
