For interest - my complete set :o of Gold Spray fruit bowls with gold rims.  Quite shallow, so will be using much bigger bowls ;D

They're quite fascinating "in vitro" - one colour is on each side of the glass.
I think it's the only design with this unusual feature.

I've only ever come across flatter small pieces in this pattern, sometimes in their Ocean Spray colourway (blue/green), so it was a surprise to see a whole fruit set, although David's book shows a 1970 advert announcing the launch of new patterns etc. and an Ocean Spray dinner plate(?) is shown in one image.  The design is lovely in the flesh, although they look very ethereal and fragile looking, and IMHO not ideal tableware.  David states that they are almost certainly Peter Tysoe designs ;D

A nice find Anne!

I've always preferred Ocean Spray myself, for its bolder pattern and I think the lack of a gold rim works better. The ranges will be explained more fully (along with Tysoe's other patterns) in the next book. As I now have one of the boxed sets, this came with a folded slip that showed every pattern used, which included wine glasses that I've never seen before.

Before I knew it was called "Golden Spray", I referred to this pattern as "the fireworks one".  ;D

Wouldn't mind betting there is a firework called Golden Spray ;D
Since you mention "...glasses" David - I think these are "tots" (2˝" high) in "Swirl".

Hi Anne, yes they are Swirl tots. Now if you had them in Gold or Ocean Spray that would pique my interest a little more  ;)
