Pressed glass vases for ID please - robbo?
« on: April 17, 2009, 10:40:21 AM »
Two similar vases in different colours.  I seem to remember that robbo once posted a green version, but I couldn't find the topic in the archives, so I could be wrong.

The blue and the amber are particularly vivid and not at all watery.

They seem old, but have no wear on them at all.  I wonder whether someone's knocking these out today using old moulds...?

Not new in those colours IMHO, which look sort of Czechoslovakian mid 20C

Thanks, Christine.  That was actually my first thought.  The shape, too, though I can't find it anywhere.
It's just their condition is so perfect that I got suspicious.   :)

Any pink or radioactive versions out there?

Just trying to help but looks a lot like Indiana Constellation #300. Tiara also made vases from these molds. Like I said looks close but not sure. :D

Thanks, Kim, but I don't think so.

http://indianaglass.carnivalheaven.com/id273.htm

The Constellation doesn't have the vertical lines between the panels, and the panels aren't square, but slightly octagonal.

However, I've just found a nice pink bowl that looks as though it could be a match.
215 mm diameter, with a flat ground ring base.
