The Glass Museum On-Line
« on: May 04, 2009, 10:22:00 PM »
http://www.theglassmuseum.com

My glass museum used to be a physical museum located in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. It became very expensive to operate (rent and staff costs mostly) so I moved the glass into my studio at home and started The Glass Museum On-Line.

It is presented as a series of in-depth articles about a particular kind of glass. The two latest articles are:

Glass Fishing Glass Floats by Tom Rizzo
at http://www.theglassmuseum.com/fishingfloats.htm

and Glass Hand Vases by Marinka Bozzec ed Angela Bowey, which is at
http://www.theglassmuseum.com/glasshandvases.htm

As you can see, we go for depth and breadth of information. Hope you will find the Glass Museum really useful.

Links from members of the GMB are most welcome and helpful, thank you.

There is a new article on the Glass Museum "Charles Schneider: Art Deco Glass Genius" by Tom Karman, edited by yours truly.
Charles Schneider began his work in 1918 and soon mesmerized the world with flamboyant designs that heralded his bold vision of the future.
Tom's article gives an in-depth view of the many designs and styles of glass produced by Schneider both in his Schneider art glass range and in the Le Verre Francais and Charder range.
We hope you will enjoy reading it and find it useful:
