Help with ID on Satin Glass Pink & Green Compote
« on: May 14, 2009, 08:17:31 PM »
This is a beautiful satin glass Compote that measures 8-3/4" tall x 7-3/4" across the ruffled rim. The stem is an emerald green color with some slight twist ribbing. The bowl is a very light almost clear looking pink color, darkening to a flamingo pink at the ruffled edge. The entire compote is a lovely satin glass and is really eye-catching. The base of the stem has a light holly looking design around it. It does have a nice crystal ring when tapped, so I think there must be some amount of lead in the glass. There are no markings, and I have tried to research this for a couple of years, to no avail. If anyone has any information about it at all, I would greatly appreciate it. I am at a complete loss as to company/age/etc. Thank you!

Patience patience :) not everyone visits the board every day, some folks only drop in every few weeks or more, so it may take a while to find an answer.  If no-one's replied after a month or so we'll bump it back up again.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Ok, Anne, sorry. I will be patient. :)

I tried it under a blacklight and yes, you are right the emerald green stem turns a glowing bright yellow under the blacklight!
