victorian door stop ?

Hi, door stop is 6 1/2 inches high a lot of wear to base
with a central bubble surrounded by 7 bubbles
any info apprecaited ie age maker

I wonder if it would work as a door-stop?  I'd say the centre of gravity is rather high.  Additionally, the metal seems to be of high quality - not the greenish glass so often seen in "dumps".
