Bright blue lidded pot with bumps all over

This one makes me think it may be American, but I'm not certain. Does anyone recognise it please? Possibly part of a trinket set or a standalone powder pot or not? Pics show inside as well as finial closeup.

I have a small Fenton Hobnail vase a bit like your lidded pot Anne - but what I know about American glass can be written on the head of a pin so I wouldn't be surprised to be laughed at by the American collectors for having said that!

Thanks Pip, that mirrors my own thoughts.  Maybe one of the US members can add more - I'm sure they'll not laugh, but if they do it'll be at both of us.

Did you manage to find this in a Fenton book please Michelle?

If not Fenton, can anyone suggest a possible maker please?

Anne, Fenton glass is not my bag at all, but for what it's worth - Fenton's hobs on their hobnail pieces are more "pointy" than the ones on your pretty jar. Other makers did Hobnail patterns - Duncan and Miller, Anchor Hocking, as well as some English companies.

Check out the hobs on this piece to see what I mean.

I may be all wet, since I don't often pick up Fenton, but I'm sure another US glassie will be along who knows more.

Pamela
Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.
Alfred Lichtwark (1852-1914)

Kelli, thanks for that pointer about pointy hobnails, something I wasn't aware of. I'll try and check out more options as you suggest too. :)

Pamela, yours is another mystery?  Hmmm...

Michelle, thanks for checking for me, this will remain a mystery for now until we find out whodunnit.

If anyone has any other thoughts on these I'd love to hear them, thanks!
