This weight is 3" in diameter. The bottom is completely ground and polished. Because of the canes, ribbons and aventurine, my guess is Italian, but this is only based on my knowledge of glassware, as I know little of paperweights.. Is it Italian? Any ideas regarding maker or age? Thanks for looking.

Yes, Murano. Possibly Fratelli Toso, but similar (with an aventurine cushion ground) have been made by others.

Leslie Pina shows one like this one on page 198 of her Fratelli Toso book, so I think it is pretty safe to say FT.

Thanks, Anita. With the aventurine around theribbons, I was pretty sure it had to be a skilled glasshouse.
