Eric Hoglund for Boda large blue bowl
« on: May 10, 2009, 04:38:01 PM »
Hi, I swapped a Whitefriars small nailhead vase and a finger vase for this bowl today (a friend is a Wf nut, I am not). I think it is by Eric Hoglund for Boda, can anyone confirm this and if so when could it have been made?

The glass is fairly thick with bubbles of varying size which can be felt on the inside of the bowl and not the outside. It has a polished pontil mark (with H 957/210 engraved on it) and measure 21cm in diameter and 11cm tall.

Thanks, John.

Thank you Ivo, that is greatly appreciated, Eric Hoglund's 'primitive' style is right up my street.

Lovely bowl John - I've had the same one but in the caramelly/orange glass colour.

They are lovely Pip, I like the sound of your colour (if that makes sense). They are the sort of item that you could glance at and think 'that is just tat', they have a subtlety that has taken me a while to appreciate. I wonder what other colours they were made in?

Have a look here at the three pieces I'm referring to (it takes you to my website but all the items I'm showing you have sold so hopefully this link will be OK with Anne and the GMB):-

Ooh aah, they are lovely, what a 'rich' colour, reminds me of the setting sun.

Thank you Pip.

John.
