Help with ID of group of weights
« on: May 27, 2009, 07:11:51 PM »
Came across these after family death, been sitting around not doing much someone suggested they could be old so looking for more info. Got 6 in total 4 rounds ones one in pic is 3" width by 2" in height. Seems to be a blue 'P' in centre stalk on the 4 round ones, the 2 2 star shapes cant see any markings yet. (from UK)

Thanks in advance.

That's a 1970's Perthshire PP1. Nice paperweight! I love the red ground.
I collect Scottish and Italian paperweights and anything else that strikes my fancy.

worth selling to pay some bills?
If so individually or as a lot?
One assumes eBay is the direction to go too?

Thanks again

Are all the paperweights like this one? 'P' cane?

You could get in the neighborhood of 100 for one paperweight on eBay. I think you would get more for them selling individually.

eBay is a crap shoot because sometimes they sell for less.

Hi BiffOr, welcome to the GMB.

Please do post images of the other items. But to make things simpler for commenting, please add each item as a new post. Even if some are similar-looking Perthshire weights, there is always a chance of something with special interest being identified.
