Pair Tall Black 19thC enamelled vases
« on: May 28, 2009, 11:03:58 AM »
Nice to have a good condition pair of these black (deep purple) mantle vases
10 1/2 inches tall, good enamelled picture of a bird and flowers and leaves. bevelled tops which were gilded, some faint remains of gilding on the back, but enamel just one side. I should think mid to late 19th C.

Any suggestions of origin , very welcome .

Bohemia, reasonable quality but one of the smaller decorators. Very good that they are a real pair. Could also nudge into early 20th C
