Carnival glass trinket set - Zabkowice?
« on: November 18, 2012, 09:20:24 AM »
Hi,

Pamela and me have been looking up this set already, but since this or a similar pattern has
been made by many glassworks I´d like to see if there are other possibilities as well.
It´s quite reminiscent of Baccarat´s bambou pattern, but the flacon´s shoulders have a
slightly different shape and seem to match the line drawings in the Zabkowice 1928´s
catalogue.
The finish of the pieces is excellent with a high-gloss polished base.

TIA
Dirk

Hello,
Please see my answer of last October 18th to Agincourt17 about his pink trinket set with similarities to the Baccarat Bambou torsé sets.
I think  for your question it's the same answer...

Thank you both for the link to the earlier topic.
The special thing with this set are the flagons I´d say: square and with those stepped shoulders.
Is this shape known from other glassworks than Zabkowice, too? Whereever else I see this kind of
pattern from other makers they are more or less plain or simply rounded.
