Multi Coloured Sweet/Dessert Set

Hi,
I am hoping someone may be able to help with the age and origins of this set. It is quite heavy and the master bowl measures 26 cms diameter and the individual bowls measure 14 cms. I tried earlier to post a picture via the board upload facility but I just couldn't get the photo small enough, even with Irfanview, so I will use a thumbnail to Photobucket.
