glass vase with coloured stripes?

this vase has got age related base wear 16cm high by 9.8cm wide and weighs 1.3kg any thoghts ?

Allan,

As far as I'm aware this decoration is not what is usually referred to as amberina, since it is streaked and not red/ruby merging into amber horizontally across the whole vase, which is more usually known by that name.

My first reaction was Caithness, but the base shot makes me query this. Might be worth checking out though.

Like Nigel, my first thought was Caithness but I've never seen this pattern with that base. I have some dim memory of having seen someone else make glass with these lines on but I can't recall who yet... let me think on it!
