Czech Glass Ram Bookends

A nice pair of Czech glass Ram Bookends , help with the maker please , they are marked TCHECOSLOVAQUIE and CZECHOSLOVAKIA would they date to the 1930's, height almost 5.75" or 14.5cm weight 1.2kg each

Hi Roy,

I have an identical pair, beautiful too. As I remember it, Marcus once identified these as being made by Libochovice A.S. and probably a design by Karel Zentner, dating to the 1930's.

Thank you very much Della for your help , I had seen one in a local antique shop recently but it had a huge chunk missing these are not bad condition with only one having a chip to corner of the base which has also been ground down a little.

 I think the fact that they are part frosted and clear and the design which makes them so nice, at the same fair there were another pair of  Czech signed glass bookends which I think may have been Peacocks which were all frosted which to me did not look anywhere as nice

They also appear in the Zoo in Pelt's book attributed to Pavel Panek, Libochovice, but the date of circa 1937-39 does preclude him!
