Pamela — I presume you are already considering obvious glass venues like Broadfield House and Smethwick Heritage Centre (Chance). It is advisable to pre-book your visit to Broadfield House Glass Museum to avoid any disappointment.
On Saturday 8th November is the big antiques fair at Stafford Showground (M6 junction 14). Early entry with your business card at 8.30 am costs £4.00, and is usually worth it. See
www.staffordantiquesfairs.co.uk where you will find a map and directions. This will leave you free to do something else from late morning.
If you are thinking of visiting any of us that stand at Gaydon, don't forget that most of us set up our stands on Saturday evening.
If you need bubblewrap, bags, etc., just let me know by late Saturday night and I will bring some extra for you to Gaydon.
... and finally, Gaydon opens at 10.00 sharp. Best to get there by 9.30, which will give you an opportunity to browse the stands in the entrance lobby, say hello to Adam, etc. If you get into difficulties with anything, just ask Maurice or his wife on the Glass Association stand — they are a lovely helpful couple (who will also attempt to get you to join).
