These are quite common in the UK, and have been discussed on the board before (a search for 'tiki' should bring them up).

I recall a suggestion at the time raising Ravenhead as a possible manufacturer.

Tiki glass, as Nic says. See earlier topics here:
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,6365.0.html
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,9189.0.html

The Ravenhead attribution is based on (a) an eBay seller's recollections and (b) similarity of the base on this one to a known Ravenhead glass foot.

I think both of these are possibly Indiana Glass Co.
The smaller one is said to be so on this Tiki forum:
http://www.ooga-mooga.com/cgi-bin/all/mug.cgi?mode=view&ind_mug_id=12575&mug_id=61 Mod: Link dead

and the larger one appears in the 1978 Indiana Catalogue, albeit with a slightly differing base:
http://indianaglass.carnivalheaven.com/id183.htm

If anybody has access to the Indiana catalogues on CD that are sold on that site it would be nice if they could have a look through and check if these exact ones are included ;D

The Indiana ones do come in colours. I recall checking those out when I researched mine. The base I checked matches (from memory) the Icelantic pattern glasses by Ravenhead....  I think Heidi might have some of these somewhere...

the pattern can be seen under the tumbler base but there are also footed glasses in this pattern.

Here's an example of the Disney one - they usually seem to be frosted.

I did see one in a charity shop once but the quality was poor compared to these other versions. The one I have (same size as Norman's) is nicely firepolished & has a polished pontil.

I've done a bit more digging and both the large and small versions, in clear, with this particular textured foot appear in the 1988/89 Indiana catalogue, pattern numbers 2947 (large), 7991 (small), page 64.

There's a donationware download of the catalogue in e-book format here:
