Question about Brockwitz chinapressung set
« on: September 07, 2013, 02:13:57 PM »
Hi, I picked up this part set today on the carboot. Its in lovely condition. The pattern is so beautiful. It just does not show up on the pictures very well. Can anyone tell me if the lidded bowl at about six inches tall is the large or small one, It came with a powder puff ,I don't suppose its original but it fits well. Also the finial on the lid is several degrees off being straight up. Is this normal? If not how come its not straight? I seem to be picking up Brockwitz a lot lately. I bought an amber cloud glass Meissen bowl too. Many thanks Cheryl

Lucky you to pick one of these sets up at a car boot sale. ;D From looking at the pattern book yours appears to be the large pot. Although it doesn't actually give the sizes of the pots only the tray and candlesticks :)

Hi, Thanks for the replies. The candlesticks even have little dragons and pagodas etc on them, what a lovely design. I love carboots, loads and loads of tat and then you find something wonderful. Its a bit addictive!!!! I bought a Wedgwood squirrel this morning, just never know what I'm coming home with next.  ;D    Cheryl
