Probably advertising gifts. It will not be fun trying to ID the logo though. The design does look like a bollard though.

I do not have a clue with this piece of Art glass ?
« Reply #3 on: June 29, 2010, 07:24:47 PM »
I bought this because it looked interesting and I had not ever seen a piece like it before.

Unusual colour with some swirls inside the glass, smooth back, fine textured ribbed side and very top of the front, it has a textured front with the 7 v's and a square near to base with 4 dots, ribbed textured base.

No makers mark.

Height 9" or 23 cm and weight 1340 gm

Thanks for any help Roy

I have no idea either, seen one before, somewhere.... ::)

Here's another one in clear glass with two coloured bits of decoration, currently for sale on ebay.

Kosta Boda/Bertil Vallien might be worth a look, even if just to discount them.

The bottom "square near to base with 4 dots" looks like it could be BB with the first B reversed.

The bottom "square near to base with 4 dots" looks like it could be BB with the first B reversed.

Looks like that to me too.  BB, with one B reversed.

No sure if anything here -- but here is a good long list of *several glass marks*.  Worth the look, and worth book-marking this page too ( I think)
http://www.myinsulators.com/glass-factories/bottlemarks.html

Lists a Berney Bond, Bellaire Bottle, Baker Bros.....?????

I do not think this list applies to *just Bottles*, as I saw E.O Brody listed there, and we all know they made Vintage Vases too.  So maybe worth a look, or just worth keeping that list for a reference for stuff down the road.

?? Merely a suggestion

I might be going off on completely the wrong tack but the two BB back to  back remind me of the Bugatti mark.

Definitely not Kosta/Bertil Vallien. Sea and one or two of the others ( Målerås and Lindshammar I think ) have been making obelisks for quite a while but they haven't made these ones.Good luck in getting an ID  :)

The first one in this thread (clear one) looks very similar to something Ikea did that came with a small light stand under it.
