This is a strange one!Greek glass!

At 14.5 ins tall acid etched(feels more like sand blasted)pattern.Marked on side...'European Symposium Freshwater From The Sea' then A?HNAI....31/5-4/6-1962 and on the base Lipasmata(town in Greece) 20366,netpas,not sure about last word,the writing on the base is to small to photo,for my camera,any ideas?????

It's a conference souvenir from the First European Symposium, Freshwater From The Sea, which was held in Athens 28 May to 2 June by the European Federation of Chemical Engineers.

That's all I've found, but maybe the federation can help http://www.efce.info/

I emailed one of the companies ( Germany) connected with the symposium mentioned on my vase and after quite a wait got a reply saying..."sorry couldn't find anything in our records" so I might try this site as well, ;D ;D
