Still sorting my Mums stuff and came across a dressing table set, in pink pressed glass. Lovely tray as shown in piccy, pair of shrt c/sticks and lidded powder bowl. Wonder if anyone can ID pattern and or maker for me.

Where's the candlesticks? You can tell a lot from looking at candlesticks (hit me with a mallet if you wish). I often see these shapes of tray, I've always thought of these being made by Sowerby or some other Gateshead firm.  :) Either that or it's Czech.

OK TC as requested here's a piccy of the c/sticks and powder bowl. My Mum got these for a wedding present back in 1943.

Paul, I don't know who made them I'm afraid, but I have the same tray and one powder bowl (no candlesticks though) in pink, and a tray in clear glass. If anyone does know who made them it'll make my day as well. :)

Well the candlesticks certainly look the same as those on Pamelas page. To be honest I was hoping the tray with a full pattern on it might click with someone. Is this a charity shop lot or good enough to stick on e-bay????

Ermmm not Bagley Paul. I've searched and searched for these... that Bagley attribution is somewhat fanciful IMHO. I've found them in various places and they've been claimed as Bagley, Davidson, Sowerby, Czech, and unknown. If you want to stick them on eBay then please say unknown pressed glass as they don't seem to be attributable at this time.  Just for reference I bought mine in a charity shop, paying £1.50/ish for each piece. These are not high value items. Pretty, and if you're selling them I'd be interested as your pot and c/stix would almost complete my set. I'm hunting dressing table sets piece by piece for my collection. E-mail me if you're interested. :)

I'm almost certain that Sowerby and Davidson can be eliminated.

As Paul's original pics have vanished I'm adding in my pic  (some of which are the same pieces as Paul had as they came from him!)
