Art Glass dish.. Scandinavian?
« on: August 09, 2009, 12:52:08 AM »
Does anyone know if this is Scandinavian glass and any ideas on which company may have made it? It measures 7" long by 2" deep.

Sandra:

Could be a number of companies. There was a recent thread on a similar piece, which might help. It's http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,27862.0.html
That thread also refers to an earlier thread, which would be even more useful here. One company mentioned in the thread was Chalet, but I think you can rule them out here. If I were tied up and forced--on pain of watching an England Australia cricket game, or the Calgary Flames--to choose one place, I'd say Murano, but add a quick,  "Or maybe Scandinavia," under my breath.

Swedish glassworks, Ryd, might be a possibility for this dish  :)
