For Info. A Webb Corbett 1920s Agate Flambe vase
« on: April 06, 2009, 01:12:44 PM »
I thought id pop this on for interest .
Convinced it was 1920s/30s I spent ages thinking maybe Steuben, Scottish, WMF, checking books , and web,
nearly given up, when near the back , page 228 of Lesley Jacksons 20th Century Factory Glass book,
I found a big Pic of the identical vase, always a thrill!  :o

Its actually Webb Corbett, Stourbridge, 1920s Agate Flambe vase (resembling Blue John Stone)
I was quite surprised, as i thought of them as mostly crystal!

Hope you like it, maybe it may help someone else one day  ;D

Suffered for years due to mis-attribution as Monart in 'Liberty Style'. Marked ones have shown up since then.

Glad i could help.
Christine, im fine, its just i seem to be a bit disorganised at present, my proverb of
'always put off til tomorrow ,what you should do today'  means i never catch up with myself,
and i get nagged for not being on facebook, or playing 'mafia wars' some online game,
I just dont understand how people get time to do all these things ::)
I struggle to log in to the gmb as much as id like.
Havent found anything exciting for ages either, well, until yesterday, i will pop a nice item on later!
Cheers
Andy
