small iridescent lamp shades
« on: August 12, 2009, 09:44:38 PM »
I bought these with the trailed iridescent bowl in my other post. I'd assumed that these were modern though. They are really more attractive than the photos show. Inside specled white iridescent, outside green and pink with a gold lustre 9.5cm high with a 2.5cm hole at the top.
Can anyone tellme anything about them?
Thanks
David

The trailing technique here is fenicio (after the Phoenician style), very much a Murano technique, which, however, has been copied elsewhere. Sorry that I can't tell you more.

They would look fabulous on a lamp.

Hi, Both the fitter style, and also the color of the pink make me think contemporary... Nicely done though.....
I have been told that glass is my mistress......

Thank you,
I thought they might be fairly new. I'll have to find a suitable lamp for them.
