Were any Nuutajarvi pieces signd just Nuut?
« on: July 06, 2009, 12:57:49 AM »
Hi Guys,
Went shopping on the weekend and stumbled across an impressive large sized stoppered bottle or decanter.
The piece was signed to the side of the bottle (not the base) with what looked like just "Nuut".
Does anybody know if nuutajarvi ever signed in this manner?
I didn't buy the piece but can't stop thinking about the mark.
There was no artist signature or numbering.
Any help or points in the right direction greatly appreciated as I'm at a dead end.
Thank you
Beryl

Perhaps someone who knows more about Nuutajarvi might be able to help, but there would have been more chance of solving the mystery if you had been able to snap a photo of the decanter. Signatures are notoriously hard to interpret, and it's possible you've misread what was there. ?
