Any Ideas about this lidded vessel? - ID = Bagley Empress
« on: August 22, 2009, 01:19:38 PM »
Hi,

My late mum used this as a display biscuit barrel. I liked it so it was passed to me. Came to wash it today and noticed it had a RD no -790481 imprinted on the inside base.

Also would be nice to know what it is, poss czech- (cut lozenges/lense effect leans me toward this suggestion)if  can anyone please help to date it?

Doesn't house biscuits nowadays, but catches the light a treat.....

Many thanks Sharron

Hi Sharron, this is a useful starter page:
http://www.glassencyclopedia.com/Bagleyglass.html and Angela's Bagley Glass book is well-worth having too. Links from that page as to how to obtain copies. Hope this helps. :)
