Another Crate & Barrel Type Vase
« on: August 25, 2009, 03:38:06 AM »
There is another "signed" Crate and Barrel vase being offered on eBay (#130326223194). I wrote the seller a couple of times in the past about these vases. He/she must have a few signed ones picked up along the way. The vase and signature are all wrong. Just thought I would put a note here so no one would be tempted to bid.

He has been contacted about a variety of signed pieces that are all wrong. You have contacted him, I know I have contacted him.... Alfredo and I have also discussed his "signed" Czech glass (usually Loetz of course) on several occasions and even after being notified he always leaves it up and running.. I have a difficult time remembering an accurately signed piece that I have seen by this seller that is an area of collectibles I am knowledgeable about. That would, of course include the "George Ohr" pig shaped flower frog he is offering at the moment..... He ran it before, and if it were real, at a $999 opening bid it would have been snagged immediately......  The best of George Ohr sells in the low 6 figure range....  average works are several thousand dollars.  I don't believe that Mr. Ohr actually did pig shaped flower frogs, although he did do a pig flask that is worth a small fortune.

I have been told that glass is my mistress......

Wasn't he in bed with ChrisM? Maybe he's getting rid of old stock.
