Fratelli Toso?
« on: August 28, 2009, 06:19:45 PM »
can anyone tell me roughly when the fratelli toso clear label was used please?
i'm only asking as i have a couple of ice cube like paperweights i'm trying to identify and guess that would be a starting point?
a friend told me the 70's but couldn't tell what years?
many thanks for your time as i'm new to collecting murano and sklo union as i'm fed up with whitefriars!  ;)

According to Marc Heiremans in his book Murano Glass: Themes and Variations, the plastic label was introduced in the late 60s and used through the 70s. I hope that you find Murano more intriguing than Whitefriars.  ;)
