You are quite right, it is clear glass with a crinkly finish over the top. I hadn't looked at it too closely!! No wonder it looks different to my green glass, it IS different.
My Mum bought it in an antique centre on a day trip to Suffolk, it had a label on it saying it was a 1930s piece. She got a bit upset when I told her it was not that old. She feels a bit conned out of her £15. But I've told her in future to be a bit wary of what sellers tell her as they don't always know exactly what they are selling. I don't think I would have paid all that for it, but it was a nice thought as she knows I collect 30s glass. Cheryl.
