Nice story, congratulations, Dirk and thanks for sharing it!

I thought all glass was Murrano or Witefriers!

John
yep.
Then you learned there's also Sklo and Rihimaki.  ;)  ::)

Dirk, the orange and yellow decor is shown on two different forms in the Passau.

Thanks for your nice comments! Hope I'll be able to update soon.
This one BTW was described as WMF Ikora.  ;D

edit: Hi Craig, your links still work. Do you know, if they were also done in pink with contrasting blobs?
Would make another combination to look for.

Hi Dirk,
I have not seen a pink with contrasting, but that does not mean it is not out there...  There is next to no documentation on Welz, so all research to determine their production is quite time consuming, looking for labels to link pieces, shapes and decors....

I recently actually found an example of a style of "knuckle" vase, commonly attributed to Kralik, which has a Welz label on it....

The site I am working on with Alfredo and others will likely have more Welz documentation than can be found anywhere.... It is kind of a pet project of mine, as I really like the bold contrasting colors they used on some of their production....

Thank you, Craig! As said before, I'm really curious about that site. All the best for your project!
