Might this be Nazeing or Gray Stan ?
« on: September 03, 2009, 03:33:30 PM »
Hello and I hope someone might be able to help. This is a large vase (10" high) that is flared at the rim. It has a ground pontil, striations and tooling marks at the rim. It is cased clear. There are also variously sized bubbles and imperfections. The vase is relatively light in weight. The colours are not vivid and bright, and the pale orangey colour is pulled up to the rim. The colours have a `powdery` feel to them (if that makes sense !). Would appreciate any help, Regards, Jeff

Looks like a nice cylindrical with lip Nazeing 'flint top' vase.

Yes, you're quite right Nazeing pre-war vase. Full description 'Cylinder vase with lip' pattern no.36/7 and as Christina says in 'flint-top' pattern.
