I know this is being lazy, so apologise in advance  -  it's just that I'm trying to resolve the remainder of last Sunday morning's pieces, fairly quickly,  before I bring a whole load more home.
Just hoping one of the Carnival experts will recogize the pattern quite easily, and let me know the name and perhaps date also.   Diameter is 8 inches/200mm  -  with typical flat ground outer rim to base (with fair amount of wear)  -  so am guessing 1930 - 1945 period.   Would be classified I believe as Marigold.    thanks for looking.

As far as I can tell from Pamela's Master Books - I believe this is from the 1931 Brockwitz Catalogue - No. 44020 on tafel 37 - 'Niobe' pattern round bowl  -  and seems to be the largest size but one (20 cms).
Grateful if someone will double check for me.   cheers.

If you call it Niobe, then Carnival Glass collectors won't have a clue what you're talking about. It is known as TRIANDS (and note, not Triads, as some books have it).
