I saw another at a fair last week it was imaculate but had one single fleck of green in the whole vase ?

Thats interesting, I don't think there are any signs of age on mine, so I think it is modern and perhaps Chinese ....similar technique to wireless cloisonne work .

Dirk, it reminds me of some of the Dale Tiffany vases. They were made in China, but are pretty to look at. I'll see if I can find your vase with their label.

Here's the closest thing to what I was talking about. http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/129768055/tiffany-co-cobalt-blue-art-glass-vase? I couldn't find anything closer to yours. The pattern of the aventurine on your vase reminded me of this, Dirk. The vase on Etsy doesn't have a label, but is correctly attributed.

I'd be more convinced if we could find your exact vase. I couldn't find it anywhere. But we know it is out there somewhere. We'll probably chance across it one day.
