Carolyn,

Alfredo is a retired New York professor that has collected and researched Bohemian glass for a long time. He has also authored portions of the Loetz.com website.  Much of his recent research is groundbreaking and he has one of the better levels of knowledge about this particular type of glass. (Bohemian) You can find his website here:

English literature, (with stress on compostion and poetry) - I believe

and English isn't his first language

But most importantly -when it comes to bohemian glass c1890-1925 -he's the best

cheers

Hi I am new to the board and looking at another piece like this on an auction site.  This was very helpful.

I'd like to know how to get in touch with the grand maestro of Loetz, Kralik, Pallme-Konig and Dugan Frit Alfredo Villanueva. I am writing a book to introduce kids to many aspects of glass and I have been attempting to contact him via email on his site and wonder if it ever got to him or just landed in the Spam box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Marie

He may just be busy and unable to reply... I doubt much of anything lands in Alfredo's spam box.....

If you don't hear from him, try again, as I myself do not totally trust that every email I send gets there....

He is pretty good about responding ...

Ref Op's second vase the white with a feather type design on it, this lampshade was recently sold by Dr Fischer's as Poschinger

Is it possible Mac's second vase is Poschinger?
