ID Required - Massive - Murano or Mdina or poss something else altogether...?

Hi All,

Hoping someone will help shed some light on the below globe type vase.

Been told it could be Murano, although colors are very reminiscent of Mdina.  The piece is extremely large, 9 inches high and 10 inches wide and weighs in at 3kg!!.

A light mottled blue in color and has a kind of scratched or inscribed wavey design to the glass, this design feels slightly rough to touch (internally) this looks like it has been applied internally. Also the color around the rim has an iridescent quality. Applied handles to the sides)

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Also has a snapped off rough pontil mark to the base, unfortunately still havent been able to find anything similar on the web, maybe Italian of some description... All thoughts appreciated. :)

It's not Mdina. Sorry, I can't be more helpful than that.

It looks Italian to me typical design ~ style ~ colour ~ pontil ~so if its not repro it could be worth a bob or two , gut feeling its a good one . jp :-\
