Frank, not MY crayfish parties - pisces do not eat anything that comes out of the water  :)
As far as I know, during the crop season friends are invited, you cook at least 400 or so and let your guests peel during dinner. As this is hard work and boring, each crayfish comes with a Schnaps. You get drunk earlier to feel not being hungry anymore... just curious
I've heard of this only from Finland and Sweden, that is why I asked Ivo whether Scandinavia could be ....returning to his finger bowls ...

Crawfish (crayfish) parties and festivals...also in Louisiana (USA). We went to one many years ago.  :lol:
