Sorry no pictures, but i saw a very similar Sommerso vase at an auction last week, it didnt have the
blue wings, but had a very similar 'architechural' shape, i have no doubts it came from the same factory,
and again, no doubt it was a good 40 or 50 years old, needed a lot of cleaning.
Estimate was 30-50, i left a bid of 80 and it sold for £120  :'(

Saw this vase yesterday and thought of the vase that started this thread.

Sadly this photo does not show it but the red/amber/pale blue colour combo seemed quite a close match. If it does not sell I should be able to get more photos of it next week.

Andy I have inadvertently started a new thread on a very similar vase to yours here - just wanted to make sure you didn't miss it

http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,41541.0.html

Im posting some pictures of another vase i found, i think i got it at a local auction a year or 2 ago,bad memory!
after the first one, it hasnt got wings, or twists, but i feel its very probably from the same origins.

Andy, I would feel comfortable in saying that those 2 are from the same maker. The colours and style match perfectly...that is a very good score!

Just thought I would link this thread with the info i've just posted on other thread.

I believe these vases are by Arte Nuova Murano, circa 1954-1965
