I am posting this on behalf of Sue Tate, who is offering an octagonal Orlak serving dish with lid, which sits inside an EPNS container on four ball feet. Orlak oven-table-glass ware dates from between 1929 and 1933.

The container has a small 'Art Deco' emblem on 2 opposite sides. It is marked:
CWF S
EPNS A1
ARUNDEL
PLATE
3191

From this I have determined it was made by C.W. Fletcher & Sons Ltd, a Sheffield-based company that operated from 1891 and is still in business today supplying components to the aero industry.

The glass dish has a Patent No. 339484 and ORLAK A100 pressed into the lid and base. The base still has its original paper sticker stating 'ORLAK Oven-table GLASS --- A100 3/6 each --- G100 2/3 each'*. I think the two prices indicate lidded, and non-lidded variants, but cannot confirm this as yet.

*For any younger collectors, 3/6d = 17½p and 2/6d = 12½p

Interesting that it's a much more modern looking label than the ones on my ramekins

Yes, there are quite significant differences (ramekin label: gold on red) - I would suggest the dish is later than the ramekin. It would be nice to be able to precisely date from the labels, but that may be pushing things a little too far!

Actually, I meant to comment on this - I may edit the image to restore it to its original glory for the supplement.
