Glass and decanter set
« on: October 04, 2009, 04:15:13 PM »
Please help with identification of this set. I believe it may be Venetian, either late 19th or early 20th century. The set comprises of 3 decanters, red wine glasses, white wine glasses, sherry glasses, liquer glasses etc. The glassware is very thin and has gilt engravings. The gilt engravings feauture a lions head and and leaves in a pattern. The stems have gold rim. The decanters have a handle on the side in the style.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Help with identification of emblem on a Antique/ vintage glass set
« Reply #3 on: October 06, 2009, 01:40:27 PM »
Hi can anyone please help with the identification of this emblem. I am not sure if my glass and decanter set is of Venetian, French, Bohemian or English design. I am very new to glass research and would appreciate any help regarding this matter.

I've merged your two topics about these items. Please don't start new topics about the same things as it confuses us...  just add more info to a topic and it will bring it back up to the top of the list again. :)

Looks to me like some of the quality glass that was coming out of Bohemia in the late 19th century.  Lobmeyr?
