And curious that it has taken so long for the news to filter back to us!!  Is this another example of "Dudley's Celebration of the Glass Industry"?

Thought everyone knew it was closing. It's been on the books for years. The glass course has moved up to Dudley Mons Hill site. It was a money pit for the college each student was being subsides by 6K. There will be a new arts centre which will be moving into the old fire station in Dudley for 2012 the plans are impressive. Theres going to be a statement piece of glass in the entrance. The glass centre will be moving there Dudley college and Wolverhampton university are working closely togeather to ensure glass in the midlands.

There is going to be a new website which I have been working on called 'Heart of England Glass' where I, Dudley college, Wolverhampton Uni, Glass makers, trade related glass industries will be represented in one place.
We have been meeting for the last year or so, our aim will be explained on the site, but it all relates to promoting glass for instance I will be attending a national glass forum next Sat 20th at the Royal Collage of Art on behalf of the what we call ourselves 'Glass stakeholders so don't write us off just yet in sunny Dudley

Think the one vase black with white blobbs is Di Kimber (shes packed it in now, if it is her?). They do look very 'Dudley' influenced and have a certain student straightness to them. Is that a Phil Vickery in the background I wonder??????
