I would also say not Perlora because of the reasons you give.

Dirk:  Here's a very quick photo of the base. As you can see from the wear on the edge of the base, it's slightly concave.

Thanks, David! I was just trying to figure out, if there´s any base treatment
characteristical for WMF. My conclusion so far: no! There seems to be everything:
a concave base like on your Perlora piece and some smaller vases, a ground ring
on mould-blown vases with ground rim, a ground out pontil mark, both - a ground
out pontil mark and a ground ring, completely ground base ...

A strip lamp type is what you need for photos. If your vase really is uranium glass, i.e., it glows a really bright green under UV, then Webb might be a candidate

The clear piece in this thread is definitely WMF, although with an unusual mouth / top.  The yellowish piece probably is not.  The Webb attribution is good, but it could also be Pairpoint.  If pressed, I would go with Pairpoint, due to the pontil.

I don't get this at all. Pressed? It does not come together.

I think Paul means that if he was pressed (i.e. urged/forced) to make a choice, Ivo, rather than meaning the glass was pressed.
