This piece has a deco look, but unfortunately no marks.  about 28.5 cms. across the bowl.    I seem to remember the comment being made quite recently that Sowerby u. pieces have a definite yellowish look, so possibility it may be that factory.   Wud be very grateful if someone is able to give an attribution.  many thanks for looking.    Paul S.

Sowerby http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,29183.msg158055.html#msg158055

The Brockwitz uranium is a very pale green. You would almost think it wasn't uranium. Here is the pink version www.pressglas-pavillon.de/schalen/01155.html

Cool - I'm way out of my element with pressed glass.

There certainly must have been some cross-fertilisation of ideas going on.

sorry for the slightly late response.    My sincere thanks to Christine and Glen for their quick and accurate replies.    I did in fact turn the screen on again late last evening  -  after a couple of drinks  -  and couldn't work out how my pics. seemed to be on another post for an identical pink piece which had been posted earlier.  So in my confusion rather lost the plot.   Certainly an exteme coincidence.   Anyway, all's well that end's well - and must admit I do like the Sowerby yellow ish tint to their U. pieces.   All I need now is to find a space on the shelf for this bowl!!     Am I right in reading the date as 1956  -  or does that refer to something else??    Paul S.

Your uranium one would be quite a lot earlier. 1956 is the date of the particular catalogue on the CD where the bowl is shown. This item probably had a 20-year life
