My other half collects silver jewellery and came home with this brooch today, Frank if you would like any pictures please let me know it hallmarked for Edingburgh 1971 and marked CJ which I know is for Caithness Jewellery, are the canes Paul Ysart or caithness

I will send some nice big pictures to you soon, before I reply on the hallmark can I ask why you think it is wrong as the date letter is a Q although I notice you have the date range 73/74 on your site

It is the CJ you got wrong, you had not mentioned the letter before. Capital Q is Edinburgh 71 and lower case London 71. It was fairly arbitrary where it got hallmarked.
