maker of pink bullicante triangular bowl?
« on: November 14, 2009, 06:03:19 PM »
I hope I got that description right above.
But from what I've read I guess there may not be much chance of finding a maker for this bowl.
Any ideas or id gratefully received though   :)
This bowl is triangular but when placed in a certain way, it looks like a leopard's head  ;D
i.e. two of the corners have clear 'ears' and the third has a clear rim which tilts down as a support kind of  :spls:
The label is Murano Glass but looks generic to me, so my hopes aren't high but grateful for any input.
many thanks
edited to add it is 9.5" from 'ear to ear' and 6" front to back, 2.5" high.
thanks
M

You're in luck. You can read the label just well enough to know it is Fratelli Toso. Their label has Murano Glass written on the periphery like yours. "Made in Italy" would be written in the middle.

Anita thank you so much!  that is very exciting to know.
I am thrilled.  I had searched and come to the conclusion I wouldn't find a maker (I've had this for a few years), but then decided to post now I can do pictures.  It was only when I photographed the label that the lettering really showed up.   How exciting. Thank you again.

Kane, thanks for your pictures :)  nice to see a similar one.

Hi,
I could say "generic Murano glass". F.lli Toso can be the producer for sure, but as other 50 different other furnaces. Dona' produced them, as Comperativa Campanella as several others.

Sincerely

Alex
