On ebay I have found this:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250531271035&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:DE:1123

Vintage Scottish glass ball YSART (Vasart) Brothers Glass company
PAPERWEIGHT (circa 1946 to 1956) or by Salvador Ysart in earlier years.
Approx. 8 centimeters in diameter

Never say never! But for this item I would say : never Ysart!

Any commands?

That's a Uredale paperweight. The Y is a stylised glassblower
