Kerry. I love a good charity shop find! I think this piece is a good find for $10. The colours in that a stunning.

Although i feel it may be newer. This is just what I think on the colours in it along with the fact it is not signed. Don't discount it could be Japanese as well. Although i have not seen a battuto cut piece from Japan in Australia or held one. I must note, just because it is Japanese doesn't mean it is bad either! You can tell the better made stuff than from the rest. So handle as many pieces as possible even if you aren't going to buy it. Then you know what not to look for!  :thup:

Charlie Meeker did some Battuto for Dartington studio he is American i believe  , but i dont know where he works now .They were big lumps .

Just a note to be careful. I'm sure I've seen something similar brand new in a homeware shop lately.
