I don't know how I missed this thread - I collect Phil Atrill! (well, I've got 5 pieces, M won't let me have any more - they're sort of big....)
He trained with Bob Crookes, but I've never had the pleasure of meeting him.
His work is often for sale in the Strathearn Gallery in Crieff.

And don't fret, Michelle - you're not the only one who turns into a glaked teenybopper when you meet a glassmaker - I do goldfish impersonations too. :thup:

Thanks Sue, he actually came over to our stall a little later (i was just around the corner and spotted him talking to Jon so kept walking untill he went)
Jon actually said to him "oh i believe my wife just came over and made a prat of herself" Phil just laughed apparently  :-[, and they had a chat about some of the pieces on our stall
I will say again he is very attractive, and talented

This is my first piece by him - a massive, one-off, Distortion vase. Quite possibly one of his earliest.
